To help children develop their early writing in nursery we complete a variety of activities that help support their fine motor control. Play dough is an excellent activity to help build up their hand muscles as they manipulate the play dough into different shapes.
Today we made ball and worm shapes by rolling the play dough between our hands or on the table.
Other activities you could do at home with your child are:
* cutting with scissors
* threading beads
* using tweezers to pick up small objects
* making marks in shaving foam
Have a go and have some fun!!
